Graves' Ophthalmopathy

Graves is different than most from other types of hyperthyroidism because it also effects the eyes.

Common symptoms include:

  • inflamed
  • red
  • bulging
  • weak
  • dry
  • retracted
  • sensitive

Because of increased pressure on the optic nerves, if untreated, it can potentially lead to double vision and even partial blindness.
